The new LGC student council

Almost the year of 2010 has been finished. Before we got into the next year, Hannam and LGC had an election for student council of each department. So Linton Global College also had an election. Well, I was the candidate of the president of LGC student council and there was no competitors. Of course I was easily elected by LGC students. 126 students out of 143 students came to the poll. (It's about 88% of participation!!) 112 students voted for me, 2 students voted against me and 12 students' vote was not counted(spoilt). So I became a new LGC president of student council. Also, after I became a president, I recruited the members of new student council. So next year, the student council will mainly focus on increasing the value of LGC. There will be many way to practice, but during winter break, our new student council members will think deeply about it. I am sure me and my members will work hard next year and I hope everything goes well.

I like this video!!
I remember the time I was in United States. I loved McDonald's and I always grabbed something after my classes finish. I have tried Drive thru, but not like this guy. I want to order McDonald's like this guy!! Too bad that there is only few places in Korea has drive thru. (There is no drive thru in Daejeon)

I brought this from Youtube.com and if you want to see more about the singer you can go to youtube and find him.

Culture Night !!

Culture Night, the main event of fall semester in Linton Global College.
Last month LGC had a special event called ‘Culture Night’. Understanding other cultures through exchanging the information to each other is the theme of this event. Student Council divided LGC students in six groups and each group picked one country. Each group researched their designated country and prepared some presentation, performance and booth. They also borrowed their country’s custom. So for this year, Korea, China, United Arab Emirates, Swiss, Spain, and Egypt was the six countries. Each team prepared a lot. Especially, a day before the event day, they stay up until 3am to make and practice for some of their performance. They put their efforts a lot, and we could see their efforts through the events. Through this event, I am sure all the students could learn respects and understanding other cultures. Everything was perfect! I like the event! One thing I felt uncomfortable was, lack of foreign students. I know this year is still the beginning of the LGC, but I hope more students come to LGC and participate these kinds of events.

My LGC life

I have been in LGC for 3 years. This semester, I'm taking six classes. Internet media project, internship, investment, finance, advertising and pomotion. I am happy with these classes. However, since some classes are not an easy subject, it is not easy to understand well. Next week I have a mid-term. I am really nervous about taking exams. So in this weekend, I have to study for those classes. My goal of GPA in this semester is 4.2. I need to work hard. Also most of my professor are so nice. They are really helpful. Whenever I need their help they help me. I am happy to being in  LGC.

I went to TCIS !!

This week I went to TCIS campus. So I couldn’t take full IMP class. Even though I told you about it I am sorry about this. The reason I went to TCIS campus is because that place will become LGC’s new campus next year!! Yeah!!!!!! Finally LGC is getting our own building!! We always fitted in some other department’s territory but not anymore. We will become the owner of the building!! So I went to the campus to look at it. Professor Todd, Philip, and Majid were with me. We looked at future main office, classrooms, professor’s office, and some kind of project rooms. Also we could see our new English Café. They told me English Café will also move with our main building. The place where English Café will be looked ugly, but they are going to change exteriors and interiors anyway so I didn’t mind that much. Good news I heard was that we are going to have gym and auditorium that TCIS is using. So in next year, we can do many events in those places, not in small English Café basement. Furthermore, Linton Hookies will have a playground to do their practice. Since Hannam University not allows students to play baseball in main stadium, there was no place to do their practice. So it was good for them. Anyway during tour to TCIS, I made some plans for next year with our new campus. I hope I can execute my plan next year!
